Neville is a forgetful boy with a bit of low self-esteem. This is due to the fact that he is often picked on. Although he does stand up for himself and his friends, he gets a bit quiet when ever the slytherins get around. He's not the smartest, but he is incredibly gifted in herbology and is not a lost case when it comes to other subjects. He's incredibly loyal and will always come through, only he would rather not fight over petty things.

BIOGRAPHY:
Neville Longbottom was born the 30th of July, just as the seventh month was dying. His parents were aurors Alice and Frank Longbottom, who were active supporters of the order of the phoenix, and it was safe to say they angered their fair share of death eaters in their day. They'd gone into hiding as soon as they'd heard word of the prophecy. It was time to start raising a child. Although Alice and Frank each did get a bit restless in hiding.

On the night of halloween, word went out and it was Jame's and Lily's little one that had been attacked, and not their baby. Luckily the two had managed to make it out unscathed, Harry too. But that wasn't the end of that night. Of course, the death eaters were avoiding the wrath of their dark lord, and looking for a bit of fun. Late that night they terrorized the inhabitants of a muggle pub. Leaving their year old son under the watchful eye of their son, Alice and Frank fled into the night, more stubborn than any of the order members. There they were caught and tortured for information on wereabouts of the order, and of course out of spite. Bellatrix Black was the witch to deliver the final blow, leaving them completely out of their wits. Luckily Remus Lupin and Alastor Moody got them to St. Mungo's in time.

Neville had to grow up young accepting the fact that he'd never be in a regular relationship with his parents. He would never get to hear their thoughts, never get to eat dinner with them, never get to celebrate the holidays with them. Nothing. They were so out of sorts, they couldn't even speak to him. He always kept a bit of resentment toward the death eaters who'd done that awful thing. He never really hated them, or planned on seeking out his revenge, he just didn't comprehend just why it had to be his parents. He could have, but he knew it would be less painful if he just faked ignorance.

Going to school wasn't that big of a deal for Neville. Actually, the whole concept of going away for months and being only around his peers and a whole bunch of professors wasn't to comforting. He wasn't all that great at making friends before, why would now be any different? That was when Trevor came in. Neville had always wanted a pet of his very own, but his grandmother couldn't trust him as he was so forgetful. But she thought he could use a companion. Well, it certainly did help. Although, he did almost manage to lose him on numerous occasions.

He was sorted into gryffindor his first year and he was made fortune's fool, to say the very least. He was picked on by everyone, had to trek through the forbidden forest, fell from a broom. And it didn't end there. Throughout is hogwarts years, Neville has had all sorts of bad experiences. Among them would be being hung by a chadelier. He's still quiet as ever, but he's beginning to feel more confident about him self with a little help from his newly found friends. Perhaps there's a place in Hogwarts for Neville Longbottom after all.
