You know very well how connected I am, many a Ministry member, sporting star or powerful international wizard write to me regularly.
I have ambitions Weasley, ambitions to be successful at Quidditch and I will do so by my own methods.
I don't need old family ties to get me into close quarters with important wizards and witches
