nickname(s):
She prefers being called Raven, and if you call her anything else you must watch out for her wrath.
age:
Sixteen
date of birth:
December 21st
family members:
terry albert renn - father
Her father has been the light of her life ever since she was born. Terry has always tried to give Raven the good things in life, and actually treats her like a human being. He has also encouraged her to do the same over the years, and that caring for others is a very important part of life for her to learn. His problem lies in the fact that he hides his depression from his daughter. He finds himself unhappy with the marriage that he was forced into, and just wishes he could go back in time to stop it. The only good thing about the marriage in his opinion, is his daughter. The man also ended up having a one time affair with a friend because her husband could not help her bare children, thus creating Raven's half-brother Jay.
hilary delilah renn (hackleford) - mother
If there were words to express how she is, crazy bitch would be the best suited words a person would be able to find. She grew up with two parents that didn't seem to care about each other, or about their daughter. She grew up, learning that putting her pain out on animals and people that weren't magical was a perfectly practical practice that she could use all the time. The only bit of caring that her parents ever really showed was when they forced the sweet-heart Terry to marry her. She had made not only his life a hell, but also looks down on her daughter, and excepts nothing more than her to just be the way Hilary herself is. The woman has lost all hope in herself, and will listen to no one for salvation.
jamen (jay) issiac venn - half brother
Jamen was the result of Willow and Eric Venn being unable to have children on their own due to Eric not being fertile. Willow still very much wanted a child, so she went to her friend Terry for help. Willow got with them, and she got pregnant with the little boy. She raised the boy as her own along with her husband. The woman never got a chance to mention that he was due to someone else's kindness and that he had a sister. They both were killed when Jay was nine, and his grandparents have tried to raise him ever since. He has lived in a very protected world due to this, and Hogwarts was welcoming change to what he used to have the two years before he started to go to school.
wand:
The outside of the wand is Elder Wood, the core of it is Dragon Heart's String, and it is 8 3/4 inches.

good memory:
"Want to go out to the park and play Raven?" Her father asked her , and she quickly raced up to him and hugged him. "I'd love to do that daddy!" She jumped up and down excited and headed out to the park with her dad. there were all sorts of kids around her age there. There were dogs as well ans other creatures around the park as well. She quickly hugged her father and headed right on to the playground part of the park. The girl played for awhile by herself, but then bumped into a boy that was her age there. "Hi I am Raven what's your name?" Raven said with confidence, knowing that she needed to look like she was really having fun. "Aiden." He replied rather quietly.
"Nice to meet ya Aiden!" She grinned. "Wanna play?" The boy just nodded and Raven started to play with him. her father watched her proudly, happy that she could at least enjoy herself when she wasn't around her mother. It was due to how her mother behaved that she did all sorts of fun things for her. After awhile she returned, and looked at her dad. "Can we go somewhere else besides the house after this?" He shook his head. "But did you have fun you little squirt!" He grabs her, and she let out a giggle as she is picked up. "Let me go daddy!" "I'll take that as a yes." With that they both headed home.
bad memory:
Her mother headed into the backyard while Raven was already there, playing with a frog. The girl was grinning as she didn't harm the frog at all, just trying to have some fun. Her mother got out her wand and killed the thing. She then looked straight into her daughter's eyes. "Animals are vermin and should not be treated with kindness or respect." Raven looked like she was about to cry, but her mother kept looking at her with her cold hard face. "Plus, messing around with a frog is nothing for a child like you to do, you must be silent and not play, you have nothing important to say, not child does. You will also regret if you speak against me." She turned away and seemed to want Raven to head back inside. "But why mom?" She asked in an honest way. "Because I said so, and children do what their parents say."
history:
Her history started long before she was born, back when her parents Hilary and Terry were at school. Terry was a Ravenclaw, smart and kind, he was always at the top of his game. Her mother was in Slytherin however, and pretended to be pureblood and against all things muggle through and through. They both never did get along with each other, and her mother's odd behavior had always put Terry off. The two of them where around each other as little as possible, and they both saw totally different people and hung out with totally different kinds of people that finished shaping who they were. Both of them graduated and started looking for jobs that would satisfy what they wanted to do in life. Hilary's parents started to try to talk to her again, and then saw that Terry had been around her by chance a couple of times. They started to beg of him to marry their daughter so somehow she could have a happy life and be changed from the way she was.
Terry many times flat out refused, telling them that she had made his life a living hell when they both were in school because his grandmother had been a muggle. They did not seem to care though, and kept barraging him until he finally gave in. He had lost the will to fight it, and he asked Hilary to marry her. No one else was willing to marry her at all, at the time so she said yes. There was no dating involved, no trying to get to know each other. All they did was start to know each other before the wedding and then they got married. Her parents paid for it and it was a big family wedding and his wife proudly said that they were be pureblood. Terry knew that she wasn't pureblood and that he wasn't either. He was stuck in this though, so he would have to try to play his part whether it fit him or not. Hilary started to have parties, and Terry's job was the only funds that supported all of what Hilary did.
Hilary at one point slept with him after a party drunk, and that was what created his baby girl Raven. The woman was even moodier while pregnant, and Terry tried to do all that he could to make sure that she was happy during it. He did everything, both cooking and cleaning, just to make sure that Hilary would not explode on him for some reason or another. The baby was born on a cold winter evening, and it was close to Christmas. Terry got Raven's first present, a little baby blanket with little pink balloons on it. He took the little baby home, while Hilary had to stay at the hospital so they could make sure that everything was going to be fine with her. He spoiled that little baby while her mother was gone, making sure that she knew that if she needed anything, that she could go to dad for it. The baby had some issues with crying, but that was normal for any kid that was her age.
Terry made sure that the baby was taken good care of, while Hilary just annoyingly told it to shut up after she returned home. He struggled to not say thing against how she was behaving against his child, but he somehow managed. When the child was about seven months old, he sunk out of the house in order to help his friend Willow. It was his only affair that he was to have the whole time that Hilary and him were married to each other. He left after having sex with her and returned to his normal duties as a father, knowing that if they had a child due to it, that it would be in good hands. They both had told him that he had nothing to worry about, and that everything would be handled by them and their would be grandparents on Willow's side of the family. About eight months later, they had a healthy baby boy, and Terry rested at ease, now fully focused on trying to raise his daughter into something that he would be very proud of.
By then though, she had already learned how to talk and how to walk. She had been growing into a big girl, and was oddly silent to her father. Her father would have to assure her that something fun was okay with her mother wasn't around. Her mother was supposed to be a stay at home mother according to pure-blood tradition, but she wasn't really home that much if Terry was there. When Terry was busy at work, which was starting to happen more often, Hilary would be very nasty towards Raven. She always looked really upset right after he got home, and said that mom hadn't been very nice. He would comfort her, but she said that what she was doing was perfectly fine. She said that Terry had no proof that their daughter was being abused and to keep out of the way that she had decided to try to raise her. Terry kept protesting, but eventually gave in, just like the time that he had with her parents to marry her in the first place. Raven learned that she had to be silent around her mother and just sit and wait for her father to come home so she wouldn't get in trouble.
Her father she was very cautious around for a long time, but when she turned four, she finally figured out as long as she did what her dad told her to, it'd be okay. She also learned that they had fun after she did little chores which encouraged her to be responsible, even when her mother was around. Hilary stated that it was Raven's loyalty to her that made her that way though. The woman tried to teach Raven that animals were things to be stepped on. That animals were not worth anyone's time at all. Her mother even caught animals in their yard and killed them, sometimes Raven even witnessed some of the horror. The kid slowly started to blame herself for the deaths of the animals, because her father seemed to love animals. And, then at the age of four, she felt a feeling beyond her understanding, one that would effect her for the rest of her life. She felt shame, like what her mother was doing was all her fault.
Terry tried to keep teaching Raven that whatever her mother did was not her fault, and something new at that point grew in her right before she turned five. She learned to hate her mother, and to only do what she said, because she was afraid of what she would do to her. In Hilary's mind she was successful, and knew that Raven would probably do whatever she told her to do. But, Raven had learned a skill at a very young age that would determine her house. She could be so very nice around her father, though being like a normal kid she had her hiccups. To her mother though, she would be what she thought was the perfect child, silent not and not at all doing anything that she would be against. It was a game that Raven had learned to play, and as long as she played it right, everything would be okay. The little girl knew that if she just did that, that both parents would look at her like she was the prefect child.
Raven continued to grow, and her mother demanded more from her. Some things though, she put her foot down on, and her mother let it pass, just thinking that she was being a stupid child. It was actually something that she had learned from her father, that she could rebel some if she was careful. Both of them learned that she would indeed be a witch when they saw her bounce a tiny ball up and down from the floor to the ceiling, which would be impossible without magic. They both were actually happy about this, and seemed glad that she would not turn out to be a squib or anything like that. Though, when her mother wasn't around, her father taught mer about art, and the wonders of acting and other such things. They would do little plays in the backyard that would only ever be remembered by the two of them, because they were never watched by an audience.
When it was almost time for their girl to go to Hogwarts after her acceptance letter, her mother went in a room away from Terry to talk to her. She had followed her. Hilary told her that she must be in Slytherin' or she would shame the name of Renn and Hackleford forever. Raven nodded, silently understanding her mother's request. The girl knew that this one, was one that she must follow, or she was sure to regret it once she got home from that first year of school. Though, she doubted she would get along with any of the people at the school, because she had gotten real quiet and when she did say something, she said something that they didn't like. She left that room, and Terry started to help her get her things together for her first day at the school, which was going to come and go faster than Raven probably ever felt that it would.
Raven got on to the train, leaving her two parents behind her, and having the school ahead of her. She saw the famous Harry Potter and rolled her eyes on the spot. The girl also rolled her eyes at Draco Malfoy and his group. She felt that they both already looked overrated and waste of her time. Though, she probably knew that most people probably didn't agree with her. Already, people would be clashing heads with her, and she hadn't even been sorted into a house. Even if she hadn't been, she knew that she had to be in Slytherin, there was no way that she could be anything else without her mother beating her a pulp, and that she what she meant by shame. The girl would hold up what her mother wanted as far as this went, because it was only in her best interest. When they arrived, she followed all of the students into the area where McGongall told them all to wait to be sorted.
When her name was called she went right up to the hat and put it on her head without a sense of emotion. She was put into Slytherin, and she took her place there. That first year, she made tons of enemies and no friends, teaching people that she harshly judged whoever stepped in front of her. She did the same thing throughout the years with younger students, showing them that she was not a person to be messed with. It was a way to keep them away from her. To make sure that she never got attached to anyone other than her father. To her it seemed unreasonable and unhealthy for her to get attached to people the way most did. Yet, even now, when she is going to start her sixth year, she desires that sort of attachment and the companionship only a friend can give. Even with that true, she is just going to just let her guard down, because that'd be unintelligent and unwise.

marital status:
She is currently single, and prefers to stay that way at the moment. As much as she wants to be with someone, she fears only the worse for them, and tries to push anyone that tries to get to know her away out of fear.
pet(s):
Raven has always wanted a pet, but due to her mother has never had one. The closest thing that she has ever had to a pet was a bunny that her dad and her hid in the backyard. At one point her mother found it, and killed it. Now she has an irrational fear of animals being around her, and has tried to avoid the owlery at all costs, saying that she is allergic to owls.
alliance:
Raven prefers not to say what side she is on, and tries just to make her mother happy by saying stuff that she doesn't agree with while she is around her. Her true side though, if she thought about it, would never be with the Death Eaters; she would rather be with the Order. Even so, she knows that she has to stay on neutral ground in order to survive the war in one piece.
favorite thing:
acting
Art has always been a big thing for Raven, it is the only way that she can express herself without the fear of being judged by others. Acting above all is the one that she enjoys the most though. She enjoys the feeling of being on a little stage where people are watching, but they aren't watching for you, they are watching for your character. They are watching in order to see how the character thinks and feels in some over-dramatic tragedy or a gut busting comedy. It is the fact that she can use her facading abilities to make people truly feel emotional over something that makes Raven enjoy it as much as she does.
despised thing:
her mother
Hilary, her mother is what she despises and has deep hatred for above all things. Her mother has no real caring for other people, and seems to always look down on everything that Raven does, not matter what it is. It is more complicated than that though, the woman has a problem with her ego. She shows it by eating as much as she does, and not fearing any health punishment for it. Everything that her mother does she tries to justify with some claim that no sane person would even try to argue unless they were desperate. In her mother's on world, she is right though, and Raven hates every single second of it. But, due to how much stronger her mother is at the moment, she is afraid of her and silently rebels while she is around and only when it is safe. Which isn't very often.
personality:
Raven is someone that has been taught two different ways, but she feels that people that try to point out that she has problems are wrong. Not only wrong, but being ridiculous stupid, and are not seeing things the right way. She tries hard to look down on everyone, no matter how nice they are, and does not like giving anyone a chance. The girl is determined to be a lone wolf, and be in mystery and in people's nightmares for as long as they know that she is around. But, she never states something that she knows for a fact is not true. It really gets under people's skin and makes them feel personally invaded by a person they don't even know. People feel alienated by the way she typically behaves, and thinks that she is just a psycho that has no sense of what right or wrong really is.
But, there are times of weakness. She sometimes has warnings and bits of wisdom to tell people when she is tired of her facade. This has been starting to occur more often, since she feels more lost than ever. Raven does not want to withdraw within herself, and become insane just like her mother. All the facade is supposed to do is to scare people away to protect them from her. In her eyes, she is a monster, something that created something evil. Even if another part of her knows that is just not true, and the fact is that her mother has always been off the wall. Raven just uses herself and other people to blame for it instead of just understanding that it is not her fault. In that way, she is still very much a child and cannot understand the true workings of other people's minds.
If a person did somehow manage to get close to her, they'd find fear behind her comments and her excuses. They would find that she fears hurting guys especially, and will do anything to keep them away from her. Raven would love a person that managed to understand her, to see past it and be persistent enough to try to find out who she really is. Most people are just simply not that way, and it takes someone really strong and stubborn. But, she will want to protect that person with her life, just like she wants to protect her father with it. The girl will only wish the best for them in the future, and will hope that they get to do what they want to do, instead of find themselves unsatisfied doing something else. There should only be the best for people that she feels are fit getting to know her and becoming her friend.
She also has a deep love of art and fashion that she shows at parties and when she is doing stuff with a small acting group. To her, it is fun to pretend to be something that you are not, when it is all for the sport of it, instead of just to survive. Masquerades and even dances that are normal dances she goes all out on. There is no such thing as not pulling out all the stops for special events. Her make up is done by herself, and she makes sure that every dress that she wears looks just right for the occasion. When it comes to her acting, she enjoys playing out characters and having an audience there to see the character instead of herself. She would rather have other people watching her play fashion diva or one of the characters on the stage, than the embarrassing mess she has made for herself when she is around people the rest of the time.

goal(s):
Raven wishes to try to make acting a big thing in the Wizarding World, and somehow bring motion picture technology to the Wizarding World. They already having moving pictures when special charms put on them, so why not have movies like muggle ones? She wants to forever be into her writing and her overall artistic world, and will try to get away from the idea of war. She also wishes to be married and have children of her own someday if she can find the right person for her. The only problem is with how she is right now, that probably isn't going to happen for a good while.
worries:
One of Raven's largest worries, is that she gets somehow mixed up into a war due to what her mother has been doing. She is aware that her mother continues to try to tear down magical creatures, and students that are different like vampires and werewolves. Raven is also aware that she probably has a pretty loyal following and she probably won't stop what she is doing unless someone else steps in to stop her. Plus, the fact that she is teamed up with Voldemort more than likely as well doesn't exactly make Raven feel better when she thinks on this war, and how it is doomed to end in some disastrous fashion where people from both sides die.
change:
More than anything, Raven would love if people just tried to settle their differences. She doesn't help any of that by how she behaves, but in her heart of hearts, that is what she truly wants. There is also a large want for there to be advancements in Wizarding technology, and to put them where muggles are with their technology today. Having more expression and more artistic people being able to hold up a job in the Wizarding world is also a rather large one.
stagnant:
She wants her father to remain alive and well, as cheesey as dumb as it may sound. Raven is well aware that her father cannot live forever, but she does not want him killed by her mother or someone else. Her father to her is more important than anyone else in the world. Even with all the hell that her mother has put her through, she would still have to say that her father is the one that has really done the most permanent shaping out of the two of them. Due to this, she wants him to stay with her for a long time, and see that she can be successful and happy.

other characters:
At the moment I have Harry Potter, Lauren Willis, Daniel Anderson, Raven Renn, and Jamen Venn. I may drop Harry though if I find a good replacement though, I am not sure.
rp experience:
I have been Role Playing since before the thirteen or older limit was put on sites due to that law. So, I would say I have been Role Playing for a good seven or so years, something like that. It feels like so many years to me though, so I am not completely certain of the exact amount of years anymore.
plans:
I have planned that she will learn that Jay is her brother, but other than that I don't have anything else planned.

----------------------------------------------------------------She started to hear some footstep, and her ears concentrated on them. It was such a relief to hear that a human being was walking around on the grounds. She felt her mind start to clear and the environment got a bit more tolerable. Then even more relief came to her ears when she heard a voice "Lauren, hey." Lauren turned to see who was calling for her and saw that it was Alistair Montgomery. She felt a smile start to crawl on to her face and returned his wave. the woman started to make an attempt to get up to join him, but she saw that he was coming towards her instead, and that is wasn't one of those formal meetings that they sometimes had where they had to deal with what was going on at the school. her butt slowly sat back on to the grass, and she looked over at him.
"Hey Alistair." Was her rather calm reply, though she felt that emotion once again. That one that made her want to corrupt Alistair just like she had in her own way corrupted Indigo Hale before he died. It shouldn't be right to feel that way, but for now she didn't feel like pondering her emotional state. "How are you today?" Lauren gave him a gentle smile and seemed to still be holding on to her positive attitude pretty well even at that moment where things were calmer. She looked around the place a bit, and looked look at him once again. "I am surprised that there aren't any students out, it is very nice outside today." It was usually this time of year when they were out the most, the teachers must have just been really one the ball that week with giving older students enough homework to do that they would be able to come out here and try to have a little bit of fun.
She took in a deep breath, and looked into Alistair's eyes. Even when she had been with Indigo, she had noticed how pretty they were. Lauren had always liked to hang out with people that had pretty eyes, and they were especially pretty when he laughed. He always looked at his best when he seemed happy, at least that was her opinion. Maybe she could make him laugh again and it'd bring a bit of happiness to her own heart. It was a comfort when she saw that her social skills actually helped people. Alistair always seemed so depressed about things, and he would brood a lot on them. Lauren had to admit she did this to herself sometimes, especially if she was alone and there was no one else around to see that she was sad and lonely. She had in truth lost all the old friends that she used to have as a teenager.
