Logan Merlin Yates was born Christmas day to Simon and Mariah Yates. He was the first born and his parents were so happy about it. The day he arrived home from the hospital, there was a party to celebrate the his birth. He had all sorts of fun growing up. When he was 5, his first sister was born. He loved to help take care of her, although he couldn’t do much of anything. He turned 8 when his first brother was born. He acted as a role model since his father was extremely busy since he was working at the Ministry of Magic. At a young age, he was a father figure to Lucas. Logan was so much of a father figure that Lucas dubbed him as ‘Dad’. Levi was born when Logan was 10, right before he was engulfed in the world of Hogwarts and Magic. When his magical abilities began to start, his parents shipped him off to Hogwarts.

He was sorted into Slytherin, something he wasn’t too proud of at all. Logan was one of the kinder Slytherins, which was something that pushed him away from his housemates. He stayed to himself mostly until his second year when he met his first friend in Hogwarts. His friend, Atlas, was Gryffindor. Logan was scorned for this but he didn’t really care at all, as long as he had his friend he was fine. In Logan’s third year, Atlas started calling him ‘Gaga’. Logan hated the nickname but let it slide when it came to Atlas. They were definitely like brothers, almost twins. The fact that that they almost looked the same was just ironic in itself. Although Atlas was a muggleborn and a Gryffindor, Logan still considered him his best friend. In Logan’s fourth year, he noticed Atlas wasn’t there. He asked around, finding out Atlas had moved to the States. Logan was upset, but it didn’t stop him from being happy around those who cared. His sister joined Hogwarts while he was in his fifth year. She was sorted into Gryffindor with Atlas. Logan told Atlas not to get any ideas about Kilia, which Atlas respected his wishes. Logan’s sixth year was boring and he didn’t really care too much for the classes. He flunked the first term of the year but he picked it up and got into his final year. He finished up and graduated from Hogwarts after his seventh year.

He turned 18 and met a woman named Melinie. Logan thought he had fallen in love with her. He courted her for about two years. He was 20 when they got married. She was a muggle who told him how much she hated witches and wizards due to her sister being one. This worried him so he kept his magical life a secret. It was until he found out that Melinie was going to have twins that he began having thoughts about telling her that he was a wizard.

At age 21, he and his wife were anxious for the arrival of Isold and Annwn Yates. They were born on his birthday, which he was surprised. They were the most perfect christmas gifts that anyone could ask for. Logan brought his new family home, eager to play with his daughters. Isold and Annwn brought him true happiness, but he had to tell Melinie his secret. He hoped that it wouldn't hurt their marriage. Logan hated to lie to Melinie, so he decided to tell her a few months after the twins were born that he was a wizard and so were their children. Melinie flipped, yelling at him for making her believe he was normal. They fought for months afterwords. When Logan was 24, he and his wife got a divorce. She didn't want anything to do with the children or him, that was until Logan made it to where she ahd to see Isold and Annwn every other weekend.

He was now a single parent to his two daughters. Logan vowed not to fall in love until the girls were older. He spent most of his time working from home as a manager of his shop that he kept in his basement. He sold nick-nacks and other things. The other percent of the time, he spent playing and taking care of the twins. Logan taught them everything about their magical heritage. As the girl grew up, he never thought about his love life. All he ever thought about was his kids, which he was happy with them even if he was single.

He was 32 when he applied for his job as the Divination teacher at Hogwarts, wanting to spend time with his daughters there as well. They got their letters on their birthday. Logan was thrilled as he made sure to get all of the girls supplies. He packed up their things and got to Hogwarts. Isold was sorted into Hufflepuff and Annwn was sorted into Gryffindor. He couldn't be prouder of his girls. Now he has promised to make sure never to let him out of his sight after school, unless they are with friends.

personality:

Logan is a fatherly, sweet, loyal, and laid-back guy who wouldn't hurt a soul. He would always put others before him, literally. Logan would be the one to get killed for someone, especially his kids. HIs kids are his life, he would do anything for them. He spoils them often, getting them gifts and other things. Logan is as loyal as a dog is to its master. He will never tell a secret or anything. He is an awesome friend and will stick by your side if you have gained his friendship.

He hasn't thought about his love life since he and his wife divorced. He is loyal in this instance as well. Logan wouldn't cheat on any girl, or act like a jerk. Although he is weary of females since his wife left him, he still treats them with the outmost respect. HIs belief is that all women are equal to men. Even if a woman is mean to him, he wouldn't hurt a woman. He is a gentleman to all females, but he isn't one to flirt.

He is fatherly to all children, including his students. Logan tries to be on the same level with his students, never treating one better then the other unless it's his daughters. Although he treats them slightly different fromt he other students, he still gives them the same amount of homework as the toher kids in Hogwarts.
