Adelisa was bored. Sitting inside the Three Broomsticks with her all time best friend Aftonie sipping on a butterbeer she sighed. "Tonie....we need to go boy hunting." She looked at her best friend and petted Anderson who had lept from her lap to the table and was lapping at some butterbeer which had spilled onto the table. Scratching his head and smiling as the little Tabby purred she sighed. "But I don't know of anyone I'd trust enough to be able to date and tell my secret...so they can't know."
Looking around she bit her lip. "Let's go to Honeydukes." She needed gum. She was having a bad craving for the sugary sweetness of a big piece of strawberry gum and she'd been miserable since she ran out about a week ago. Anderson purred and pawed at her hand which was resting on the table. Even thinking about boy hunting made her heart race. Perhaps she wasn't ready for that kind of commitment?
"Ugh what do I do if I hurt him?" Panic was rising in her voice and she chewed her lip nervously. Then again, she didn't even HAVE a boyfriend yet so there was no real reason to fret so much. Draining the last of her butterbeer and allowing Anderson to lick up the last drops, which she poured on the table she shifted.

- - - aftonie picked up her tankard of butterbeer and lifted it to her thick lips that were today, covered with pink gloss that she had charmed to make it stay, even when she had butterbeer. tonie wasn't really that good at charms, but she learn the stuff that she seemed to need. it was the first hogsmeade trip of the year and here she sat, with her best friend, adelisa, of course, she wasn't likely to go by herself, drinking her usual pint in the three broomsticks.
as soon as adelisa spoke, tonie put down her drink, finished. "boy hunting you say?" she wondered when this was going to come up since their convosation via owl through the week. she nodded in agreement and stood up from the table and began to move towards the door at the mention of honeydukes. she needed some sugarquills anyway. she'd run out and she liked to have a good nibble in class.
tonie shook her head at lisa's next remark. "you won't hurt him." she giggled slightly "he won't be their when you transform." tonie knew she could be silly sometimes, but this was pure stupid. how could her best friend hurt someone when she wasnt even transformed? its insane. "you need to stop worrying. lets just go find you a lad. theres plenty at hogwarts," she smiled mischievously and headed out the door towards honeydukes sweet shop.

"I guess you have a point...." Adelisa got up, cuddling Anderson to her and followed her friend. She walked out and smiled, the weather was very nice and the smell of autumn was thick in the air. "Oh Merlin I love autumn." Twirling a few times she giggled, her dark hair bouncing around her. Anderson crawled onto her shoulder, then to her head when she stopped twirling. Balancing the small Tabby on her head she waltzed into Honeydukes, grinning at the array of gum which immediately attracted her attention.
"Gum heaven." Adelisa sighed and smiled, heading to the display and buying a ton of strawberry gum. Popping a piece in her mouth she bought a bit of caramel for Anderson to lick on. "I love this place." She smiled serenely and continued to look around.

- - - standing in the main street of hogsmeade aftonie turned to look at her best friend, and patted anderson thoughtfully. "autumn?" aftonie pondered the thought slightly "it's okay a suppose ... but i prefer summer ... one because of the weather and two because its my birthday in august. i can't believe ive only just turned fifteen. and everyone else has been fifteen for ages." she sighed. aftonie, being born on august the thirtyth had always been the youngest in her year. this was sometimes a good thing and sometimes a bad thing. but she tried not to concentrate on details.
raching honeyducks, adelisa and aftonie stepped inside. the usual ring of a small bell issued from above the door frame. it was packed, but it always was when the kids from hogwarts were visiting. they were all the same, stacking up on the most awesome sweets that have been invented. aftonie followed her friend to the gum counter and watched her feed it to her cat. "is that safe? won't it clog up his throat?" she muttered unsurely. she wasn't critising at all, bit gum wasn't the usual thing you fed to a tabby cat.
she then moved over to the pepper imps and sugar quills and filled her small hands with as many as she could before travelling over to the counter and paying eleven sickles to the plump lady behind the cashier.

"If it's in small pieces he just get's really annoyed cause it sticks to his teeth, but since he's still teething a bit it's good for him." She smiled and filled her pockets with gum, counting each piece carefully. Walking up to the counter she payed the plump woman and looked around. "I think it's cute that your so young though, and at least your birthday isn't on Valentine's day. Everyone but you and my dad keep forgetting since it's such a big holiday." She frowned and sighed, reaching up and wincing as Anderson's razor sharp teeth playfully dug into her fingers.
Leaning against the counter she allowed her cool gray gaze (she was wearing mostly darker colors) to wander around the shop. "Ok as for boy hunting, you see anyone you like?" Just about half the school population of Hogwarts was here cramped into one tiny store. "Ugh, I think we should get out I'm getting claustrophobic."

Cormac was walking along the beaten road from Hogwarts castle heading towards Hogsmeade. Normally, he'd be accompanied by younger male friends, all of which would be laughing at his jokes. However, on this occasion he was alone, he'd just been with Professor McGonagall discussing his bad Transfiguration work. He was now walking along quite merrily, humming the tune of a Puddlemere United chant while reading a letter he'd earlier received from his good friend Ludo Bagman.
He had hardly realised how far his feet had carried him into Hogsmeade when he looked up to see Honeydukes to his left. He glanced quickly through the window, and seeing many students crammed into such a small space he thought better of entering. He had now passed the window when he registered what, or who, he had just seen. Backtracking, he leant his head backwards as to get a better view of the girls who were huddled just inside the shop. With a quiet 'Aha!' he turned, hastily shoved the letter into his pocket, ruffled his hair a little then leant on the exterior of the shop, waiting for the girls to exit.

Adelisa nearly bit off her tongue as she was shoved out of the shop. Stumbling a bit she snapped her gum sharply, her lip turning rosy from the chilled wind that was breezing by. Shivering lightly she snapped her gum again and suddenly looked over, and jumped slightly seeing the boy Tonie was talking about was almost directly in front of her. "Oi, gave me a start there." She said, placing a hand on her chest to slow her heartbeat. Anderson jumped to the ground and curled around Adelisa, and she made sure he didn't get speared by her pumps.
"Cormac McLaggen?" Adelisa recognized him from the Quidditch field. Smiling sweetly and looking back nervously to make sure Tonie was still with her she snapped her gum loudly once more, but this time more nervously than to annoy.

As Cormac waited a twisted smile on his face, the two girls stumbled out of the shop directly infront of him. As one of them straightened up, he raised an eyebrow and retorted, 'What.. was that?'. He laughed heartily, ruffling his hair once more. He couldn't for the life of him work out who they were. Never the less they were most definitely.. erm.. adequate.
He chuckled to himself, 'That palava reminds me of Marshall Witheringham in 1990'. He waited for a exclamations of shock that would show that the girls were impressed with his knowledge of Quidditch. A lengthy pause proceeded, confused, he pressed on. 'You know.. Chudley Cannons keeper.. season of 89-90...'. Nothing, complete silence. He sighed, 'Nevermind, nevermind'. He shuffled closer to the darker haired, and a grin spread across his face. 'And what would your name be... beautiful'. He winked and ruffled his hair once more, grinning broadly.

- - - aftonie giggled slightly as adelisa popped her gum in her mouth and continued to suck on her vanilla lolly. cormac repeatedly brish a hand through his hair. and started to talk about quidditch. however, the silence filled their convosation until he gave up and aftonie spoke up "i know who you mean. im on the hufflepuff quidditch team myself." she smiled at cormac and shoved adelisa forward a little more.
as soon as the boy started to talk to her best friend aftonie laughed openly and then said "oh. i think i'll leave you too." she turned around on the spot and began to walk away "ADELISA! HER NAME IS ADELISA BY THE WAY." she smirked in the side of her mouth and winked at her best friend before saying "owl me!" and with that she retreated into a wizarding shop called dervish and banges.

Adelisa flushed as Tonie screamed out her name. "Sorry about her. My name's Adelisa, Adelisa Ticking Cloquewerk." She wasn't to surprised that he didn't know who she was, not only were there a lot of students in Hogwarts, but she wasn't all to noticeable. "I feel kind of bad not being able to relate when it comes to Quidditch." She smiled shyly and wound her fingers in her hair, twirling it.
She had stopped snapping her gum, last thing she needed was to talk to a boy then get him annoyed at her for snapping her gum. "I'm surprised no one's hanging around you like they normally do." She said in an innocent tone, she had noticed him several other times, usually surrounded by a group of people who seemed quite determined to suck up to him.

Cormac was looking at the darker haired girl straight in the eyes until the other girl piped up, and he heard a mention of Quidditch. At the sound of this word he piped up, shook his head, and turned, smile wider still to the friend. ‘Ah a Quid…’. He trailed off as she turned to leave, smirking as she went. Taking her disappearance rather personally, he turned back to the other girl. Adelisa… the name didn’t ring a bell, but then again he wasn’t the best with remembering names of any old student. Adelisa spoke quite softly at him, he watched her twirl her fingers through her hair. She was very pretty, and perfectly up to the usual standard.
He chuckled at the mention of his usual gaggle of followers. ‘Well you know, can’t have the fans around all the time’, he winked at her then pressed on, ‘Interesting name you have there, Cloquewerk..’. He thought for a moment, ‘Not related to Victor-Michael Cloquewerk? You know.. The famous Russian seeker?’. He realised she’d just confessed to not knowing much about Quidditch. Under normal circumstances he wouldn’t have bothered with a conversation lacking in Quidditch speak, but this was a matter of girls, this was different. Time to pull out the charming Mac.
He pressed on, ‘Your friend..’, he pointed in the direction of the girl, ‘Quite rude, leaving you here on your own’. Something clicked in his mindset, here comes the seductive tone. He spoke in a deep smooth voice, ‘Need me to take you..’. He paused, ‘..under my wing?’. He winked once more, and laughed loudly at himself.

"I guess not. I'd suppose the fans get quite annoying after a while, all trying to suck up to you." Her eyes lit up at the mention of her uncle. "Yes! Uncle Victor." She smiled brightly and giggled. "I get free tickets to his games whenever I want." She knew that would be of much interest to him, considering how he seemed to love Quidditch so much. "Maybe we can go see them one day? I'd know more if dad let Uncle Victor teach me to play." She smiled, her attempt at flirting was though cute, rather weak seeing as she'd never dated anyone before.
Looking back in Tonie's direction she nodded. "Tonie's always like that though. Disappears and reappears at random times." She pouted, her rosy lips pressed together cutely. Smiling shyly at his sudden change of tone she decided to play along. "Perhaps, since after all I'm all alone at Hogsmeade with no one to protect me from the other students."

‘Tonie’, he raised his eyebrows, ‘Does Tonie have a last name? I may have connections to her parents!’. He beamed at Adelisa, then taking notice of her last comment, he momentarily raised both eyebrows in genuine mild shock. He wasn’t expecting her to be so open and forward. After all she’d definitely come across as slightly shy at the least. Her awkwardness at the beginning had been the intriguing thing about her. He then smiled slyly, leant in towards her, and whispered in her ear, ‘I’m sure I can protect you… beautiful’.
He pulled his head back, looking down at her slightly, his shoulders square as he tried to make himself seem as commanding and desirable as possible. He ruffled his hair once more, ‘You know, you’re not exactly how I imagined you to be, from first impressions’. He pointed to where she’d stumbled previously. He smiled, ‘You’re definitely.. Mysterious and interesting’. Cormac noticed himself slowly becoming less arrogant, without the usual gaggle of followers to impress he felt he could relax somewhat. He smiled at her once more, raised his hand to his hair once more, then stopped and let his hand drop to his side.

"Her real name is Aftonie Altoft." She scratched her head and smiled shyly, tilting her head. Her eyes nearly fluttered closed and she smiled nervously, blushing as he leaned in and whispered in her ear. She hadn't expected to get that close to him so soon. She giggled nervously as he squared himself and tried making himself more attractive.
"I hear that a lot, apparently I surprise people often with the way I act." She raised both her eyebrows and smiled coyly. "Mysterious? Haven't heard that one in a while." She noticed how he seemed to relax since his usual gaggle wasn't around, and that did make her happier. She wasn't sure if she could handle his usual pumped up arrogant self. She saw him reach up again and she touched his wrist. Smiling shyly she giggled. "Bad habit? Your hair is messy enough, it's impossible to make it look better than it is."
